Research Help Question

Q: How do I get the full text of an article I found in PubMed?

Research Help Answer

A:

PubMed is a free, public database on the internet.  However, not everything in PubMed is available as free, full text articles.

Here is how you can search for free full-text articles in PubMed:

   1. Go to Pubmed https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/

   2. Enter your search terms in the large search box or use Advanced Search. Then click "search."

   3. On the results page, click on the box next to "Free full text."

4. Next, click on the title of the article you want to view.  Then click on the "Full Text Links" icon near the top of the page.

 5.  You should now have access to the full-text of the article.
