WCU Library ID and Password
To access WCU online library resources please use the following:
- Library Account Username: WCU email address
- Password: password to access your email
The information used to access WCU online library resources is the same information you use to log in to Canvas or to check your WCU email. If you have previously logged into another WCU Resource (i.e., Canvas), you may be automatically directed to the database without needing to log in.

The information below is for resources that may still need to use the EZproxy access, as well as putting a hold on a resource, checking the due date, or submitting an ILL request. All other online resources have moved to single-sign-on.
From the library homepage, click on the "My Library Account" tab to login to your library account.
- West Coast University students are assigned Library IDs that match their WCU email username, everything before the “@” symbol; e.g. jsmith1@u.westcoastuniversity.edu would have a Library ID of "jsmith1".
- The library ID is the same as the username used for logging into Canvas and the Portal, however the password must be created separately.
- To create/reset your password, enter your Library ID at https://westcoastuniversity-on-worldcat-org.westcoastuniversity.idm.oclc.org/myaccount and select “Set/reset Password.” A password link will be emailed to your WCU student email account. The link expires in 24 hours for security purposes.
- Changing your library account password will NOT change your Canvas or Portal password.
- If you receive an "account has expired" or "username is invalid" message when trying to log-in, please contact your campus library staff or email askwculibrary@westcoastuniversity.edu for assistance.
