General Education Question

Q: How do I find information about the scientific perspective of my topic?

General Education Answer

A:

While searching for articles on the different perspectives of your topic, it’s important to NOT use the words “scientific perspective." This is because the database looks for the specific words you put into your search, so it’s very unlikely that a relevant article will contain the exact words “scientific perspective.”

Instead you should use keywords that DESCRIBE the scientific perspective of your topic.

  • Some sample keywords which describe the scientific perspective include:
    • Anatomy
    • Biological

A sample search might be "diabetes AND anatomy."
