General Education Question

Q: How do I find information on the mathematical/analytical perspective of my topic?

General Education Answer

A:

While searching for articles on the different perspectives of your topic, it’s important to NOT use the words “mathematical perspective” or "analytical perspective."  This is because the database looks for the specific words you put into your search, so it’s very unlikely that a relevant article will contain the words “mathematical (analytical) perspective.”

Instead you should use keywords that DESCRIBE the mathematical/analytical perspective of your topic.

  •  Some sample keywords which describe the mathematical/analytical perspective include:
    • Statistics
    • Cost (cost in regards to money)

A sample search might be "diabetes AND cost."
